CDF and Free education to Transform Thyolo - Goliati _Maureen Namwali
On Friday, 7 November 2025, I delivered my first speech in the August House, representing Thyolo-Goliati Constituency, marking the beginning of transforming the constituency and contributing to the country's development.
I highlighted the government's manifesto and the directive of His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to remove school fees from all government primary and secondary institutions starting January, which will boost education and enable children who previously couldn't afford tuition to access education.
I also mentioned the increase in the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to 5 billion kwacha, which will be used to fulfill promises made, including completing Ngolongoliwa Clinic, benefiting the surrounding community, establishing a police unit at Tchaile, enhancing security in the area, including Lalakani and Milonga, supporting Milonga Community Technical College.
Rehabilitating the Chimvu Bridge, which connects Mikolongwe and Goliati, facilitating market exchange and trade I'm committed to working tirelessly to bring development to Thyolo-Goliati Constituency. - Honorable Maureen Namwali
