Thyolo-Goliati MP Maureen Namwali has extended warm wishes to Muslims and Christians across the country ias they observe Ramadan and the Lenten season, respectively.
Namwali advises the faithful to use this period to achieve spiritual growth, peace, and renewal. She made the remarks on Wednesday, 18 February, marking the start of the 40-day Lenten season for Christians.
The Lenten season will culminate in the Easter season, while Muslims will observe Ramadan, ending with Eid Mubarak.
Namwali notes that religion plays a significant role in promoting unity and peace in society.
