Outstanding students from Goliati Zone rewarded by Honorable Maureen Namwali, Thyolo-Goliati MP
During the rewarding ceremony at Matapwata Community Day Secondary School Hon. Namwali advised them to keep working hard, citing free education under President Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika. She's a role model as a female MP.
49 students selected from 16 primary schools in Goliati Zone for national and district secondary schools in 2024/2025 were rewarded with essentials to support their education.
Christopher Masenya, Goliati Zone Primary Education Advisor, thanked Namwali, saying the gesture boosts all students. He requested learning materials, fences for Goliati and Milonga primary schools, and toilets, citing it as another critical factor in the zone. Hon. Namwali promised to fulfill the challenges.
One of the students who was awarded, Geomacia Lmbani, who was selected to Luchenza Secondary, said the donation will help her achieve her dream.
Chisoka primary school Teacher who also received an award, Josophine Chikoti, described the initiative as important to sustain education.
